Iranian President Pledges Permanent Development of Tehran-Moscow Relations
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian affirmed the enduring growth of relations between Tehran and Moscow, stating, “Relations between Tehran and Moscow will be developed on a permanent, continuous and long-term basis.” During a meeting with Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu, Pezeshkian emphasized the new Iranian government’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with Russia.
The deepening and strengthening of cooperation between Iran and Russia will contribute to minimizing the impact of sanctions imposed on both countries, according to the president. Pezeshkian expressed hopes for productive discussions on Iran-Russia relations in an upcoming summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Kazan.
