**Election Commission of Pakistan to Hear PTI Intra-Party Election Case**
The Election Commission of Pakistan is set to address the PTI’s intra-party election case on Wednesday, following a recent reprimand from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court clarified its July 12 ruling, declaring Imran Khan’s party eligible for reserved seats in the National and provincial assemblies. The ECP had filed a petition seeking a review of this judgement, which the court now deems as delaying tactics.
Despite the controversy, the ECP plans to notify remaining PTI lawmakers as per the Supreme Court’s order. Additionally, the recently passed Election (Second Amendment) Bill will impact independent candidates and party timelines for reserved seats.
In another development, the ECP will also hear the JUI-F intra-party election case. Both cases come as political parties seek compliance with legal requirements for intra-party elections. Stay tuned for updates on these crucial proceedings.
