Unity Week marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and aims to strengthen the ties between Shia and Sunni Muslims. Ayatollah Khamenei recently met with Sunni scholars and clerics, emphasizing the importance of the Islamic Ummah’s identity transcending geographical borders. He warned against attempts to make Muslims indifferent to their Islamic identity and urged them to be aware of the suffering of others, especially in Gaza. The Supreme Leader called upon Sunni scholars to rely on the Islamic identity and unity, highlighting the malicious efforts to sow discord in the Islamic world.
Ayatollah Khamenei regretted attempts to distort the unity of Shiites and Sunnis and commended the Sunni community for their resilience against hostile motives. He stressed the importance of Islamic unity and support for the oppressed people of Gaza and Palestine. The Supreme Leader emphasized that only through unity can the dignity of the Islamic Ummah be achieved.
Let us all strive for unity and support those in need, keeping the true essence of Islam alive.
