Enhanced Security Measures in Place for Eid Miladun Nabi Processions
As Eid Miladun Nabi processions are set to take place across Pakistan, authorities have implemented robust security and traffic arrangements to ensure the safety of participants and maintain peace during the celebrations.
In Punjab, over 55,000 police officials have been deployed to secure 2,467 Milad processions and 1,581 gatherings in the province. In Islamabad, more than 2,000 police officers will oversee the main procession, with snipers positioned on rooftops for additional security.
Rawalpindi will see 5,000 police personnel and 454 traffic officers managing peace and traffic flow for 108 processions, while Sindh has announced a ban on pillion riding and strict security measures for central processions in Karachi. Mobile phone services may be suspended, and display of weapons, participation of women and children, and specific vehicle types will be restricted.
