NNPC Limited has announced new pump prices following the loading of petrol from Dangote Refinery, with consumers facing additional costs.
In Lagos, petrol will now be sold for N950 per litre, up from N855, while Abuja will see a new price of N992.22 per litre, previously N897. Meanwhile, Borno residents will be paying N1,019.22 per litre.
Despite loading the product at N898 per litre from Dangote, NNPC challenges anyone with different figures to come forward with evidence.
According to NNPC, the setting of PMS prices is not government-controlled but is negotiated directly between parties. The corporation confirms that it is currently paying Dangote Refinery in USD for September 2024 PMS, with Naira transactions set to start on October 1st, 2024.
Should there be disagreements over the pricing, NNPC promises to pass on any discounts received from Dangote Refinery to the general public. Estimated pump prices of PMS from the refinery across NNPC Retail Stations in the country based on September 2024 pricing have been attached to the statement.
