The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) has urged the federal government to temporarily postpone the clauses pertaining to the judiciary in constitutional amendments. In a recent meeting with government and opposition representatives, JUI-F leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman emphasized that his party had not yet received the draft of the proposed amendments.
Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidari of JUI-F mentioned that they had consulted with various political parties regarding the draft but questioned how PML-N leaders could review it without the actual document. The party suggested delaying the constitutional amendments to allow for more comprehensive discussions.
Haidari stressed the importance of proper review and thorough consideration, warning that rushing the process could result in a lack of support from JUI-F. The government was requested to provide the draft for review and advised to exercise patience in presenting the bill to Parliament.
JUI-F’s stance on the matter remains firm, advocating for a thoughtful and inclusive approach to constitutional amendments. It is crucial for all parties involved to work together to ensure a transparent and fair process.
