Israel continues to mourn the casualties of the recent Israel-Hamas War, with schools like Himmelfarb High School in Jerusalem and Ohr Torah Stone’s Neveh Shmuel High School facing devastating losses. Hersh Goldberg-Polin, a student at Himmelfarb High School, remembers seven former classmates who lost their lives in the conflict. Neveh Shmuel High School has tragically lost eight alumni and two fathers of current students.
Israel President Isaac Herzog plans to visit Neveh Shmuel High School to offer words of comfort and solidarity to the students, faculty, and families of the fallen soldiers. Rabbi Dr. Kenneth Brander, President of Ohr Torah Stone, will welcome Herzog to the school.
