While many aspects of the budget have been finalized, there are still discussions to be had with party leaders regarding certain items.
Mr. Chambers acknowledged the ongoing pressures faced by individuals due to the cost of living and emphasized the importance of energy credits to support families during the winter months. He also highlighted the focus on reducing the tax burden through income tax changes and USC adjustments in the budget.
Tánaiste Micheál Martin expressed his preference for holding the general election in February and underscored the need for the Government to complete its term. Ahead of the election, Fianna Fáil aims to address key issues such as the cost of living, housing, healthcare, and crime, with a focus on enhancing people’s quality of life.
