WOT Mobilized to Combat Flooding in Poland
Poland’s Territorial Defense Forces (WOT) sprang into action to tackle severe flooding in the southern regions. Despite delays in the official request for assistance, WOT deployed four task forces equipped with 500 soldiers each and specialized equipment, including trucks, pumps, and amphibious transport vehicles.
Governor’s Delay in Seeking Help
Surprisingly, the Lower Silesian Governor only sought support from the Ministry of Defense last night, despite the imminent threat of flooding. Lt. Col. Robert Pękala, WOT spokesperson, confirmed this delay, underscoring WOT’s proactive stance in crisis management. As the situation escalates, 4,000 soldiers from operational units stand ready to assist if needed.
