President Bola Tinubu’s official visit to China and the United Kingdom was filled with significant milestones and achievements. According to the Special Adviser Information and Strategy to the President, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu will return to Abuja on Sunday after his successful trip.
During his visit to China, President Tinubu engaged in crucial meetings with President Xi Jinping, resulting in the signing of five Memoranda of Understanding between Nigeria and China. These agreements ranged from promoting the Belt and Road Initiative to cooperation in the peaceful application of nuclear energy and human resource development.
Furthermore, President Tinubu visited Chinese companies like Huawei and China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) and participated in the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit, where he emphasized the importance of multilateralism for global peace. He also met with Nigerian diaspora representatives in China to discuss governmental reforms and development aspirations for the country.
After his productive visit to China, President Tinubu proceeded to the United Kingdom, where he met with King Charles III to address climate change issues. His trip highlighted the importance of international cooperation and partnerships for a sustainable future.
