The Iranian Embassy in London lauded Iran’s recent successful launch of the Chamran 1 research satellite into orbit as a significant achievement in the country’s space program. The embassy emphasized Iran’s progress in space technology, highlighting the nation’s ability to now produce advanced rockets and launch satellites independently.

Referencing a time when Iran had to rely on others for defense technology, the embassy stated that Iran’s current capabilities demonstrate the country’s self-sufficiency and advancement in space endeavors despite facing sanctions.

The Chamran 1 satellite, carried by the Qaem-100 space launch vehicle, was launched on Saturday morning and placed in a 550 km orbit, successfully sending signals. The satellite was developed by Iranian engineers at the space division of Iran Electronics Industries in collaboration with experts from the Aerospace Research Institute and private knowledge-based companies.

Iran’s accomplishment with the Chamran 1 satellite showcases the nation’s growing expertise and independence in space technology, urging for mutual respect in international relations instead of sanctions.
