Israeli Police Uncover Large Weapons Cache in Arab Town
Over the weekend, the North District Police conducted a raid in Yafa an-Naseriyye, near Nazareth, where they discovered a stockpile of weapons including four guns, hundreds of bullets, cartridges, and even a missile. Superintendent Daniel Levy announced the launch of an operation to combat crime in the region.
The police released a statement emphasizing their commitment to fighting violent crime by disrupting weapon smuggling, preventing criminal activities, and responding quickly to violent incidents to ensure public safety. Since the beginning of the year, more than 700 weapons have been seized in the Northern District.
Additionally, in a separate operation in Rahat, southern Israel, authorities seized 15 grenades and arrested several suspects. The police are actively working to address the recent surge in violent incidents, including a fatal shooting that took place in Yafa an-Naseriyye.
