Oman Airports Hosts Inaugural GCC Airports CEOs Forum
Oman Airports is set to host the first-ever GCC Airports CEOs Forum, bringing together airport leaders from across the region. This forum aims to deepen cooperation, drive economic growth, and enhance the aviation sector in the GCC countries.
The event will focus on fostering bilateral coordination, investing in infrastructure, and improving services to accommodate the expected growth in air travel. Sheikh Aimen bin Ahmed al Hosni, CEO of Oman Airports, emphasized the importance of collaboration in innovation, digital transformation, and talent development.
The aviation sector in the GCC has shown great resilience, with plans to double air traffic by 2030. Oman’s Vision 2040 includes adding six new airports by 2028-2029 to support sustainable development and strengthen its position as a regional air transport hub.
By formalizing joint cooperation and developing infrastructure, the GCC airports aim to strengthen their global standing and open doors to broader economic opportunities.
