Moscow kicks out 6 UK diplomats for spying.

Recently, the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia made a bold move by withdrawing the accreditation of six British diplomats, citing espionage and threats to Russia’s security. This decision was framed as a response to what the FSB deemed as multiple unfriendly acts from London, with accusations of subversive activities and intelligence gathering against the diplomats.

According to the FSB, evidence suggests that these diplomats were involved in coordinating an escalation in the international political and military situation, as well as working towards inflicting a “strategic defeat” against Russia. Russian officials, including Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, supported the FSB’s actions, claiming the British embassy had overstepped the boundaries set by the Vienna Convention.

While Russian state television aired footage of the diplomats leaving the country, the British government denied the accusations, labeling them as baseless. The UK Foreign Office implied that this move was a retaliation against Western measures targeting Russian activities across Europe and the UK. Despite the diplomatic dispute, both countries remain steadfast in protecting their national interests.
