Government Proposals for Constitutional Amendment Under Consideration by JUI-F: Senator Kamran Murtaza
JUI Senator Kamran Murtaza has disclosed that the government has submitted proposals for a constitutional amendment, and the party is currently reviewing them. Speaking to the media, Senator Murtaza stated that Maulana Fazlur Rehman will evaluate the proposals and discuss them with party colleagues. The party plans to hold consultations within the JUI working council, Shura, and legal team to make a decision on the government’s suggestions.
The Senator mentioned that they may accept some proposals while rejecting others based on their merits. JUI-F aims to involve PTI and other parties in the constitutional amendment process. Meanwhile, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met with Maulana Fazlur Rehman to discuss the upcoming bill, expected to be tabled in the assembly soon.
Meetings between opposition and government representatives with JUI-F chief continued late into Saturday night, indicating a collective effort to secure Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s support on the constitutional amendment.
