Barau, Lawan call on Muslims to ponder Muhammad’s virtues

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, and former President of the Senate have urged Muslims to reflect on the virtues of Prophet Muhammad during the occasion of Maulud. They emphasized the teachings of Prophet Muhammad on love, mercy, and forgiveness.

Chairman of the Senate Committee on Privatization, Dr. Orji Kalu, also congratulated the Muslim ummah on Eid-el-Maulud, highlighting the importance of the Prophet as a role model and urging prayers for peace and prosperity in Nigeria.

Barau reiterated the National Assembly’s commitment to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in addressing the country’s challenges. He emphasized unity in overcoming national challenges and the importance of legislation for progress.

Senate President Lawan called on Muslims to emulate Prophet Muhammad by showing kindness, helping others, and working towards a just society. He urged Nigerians to bridge their differences and work together for a brighter future.

Kalu stressed the need for religious leaders to promote peace and unity, leveraging Nigeria’s diversity for growth. He encouraged prayers for leaders at all levels and emphasized sustaining the teachings of the Holy Quran.

In conclusion, the former Governor wished the Muslim ummah a spiritually fulfilling celebration of Eid-el-Maulud.
