In an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera Arabic, Guterres lamented the council’s inability to address conflicts like Sudan, Gaza, and Ukraine, stating that it does not reflect the current world.

However, he noted that the council’s political failures have hindered the UN’s fieldwork, affecting the perception of its staff.
