The video clip of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi chief Thol Thirumavalavan advocating for a share in power for ordinary people has caused a stir on social media. Thirumavalavan clarified that this demand has always been the party’s position and emphasized that any such proposal would only be considered in 2026 during the next elections. DMK spokesperson Constantine Ravindran reiterated that the DMK has always shared power with the common people.
Thirumavalavan addressed speculations about the video clip being old, stating that it was a recent clip reflecting the party’s ideology since 1999. He also reaffirmed VCK’s commitment to eradicating liquor in politics, despite inviting the AIADMK to an anti-liquor conference.
