After the destructive Storm Daniel in Thessaly, the government initiated state aid schemes to assist households, businesses, and farms affected by the disaster.
The aid encompasses compensation for damaged property, agricultural losses, and business disruptions, along with housing support for residents whose homes were rendered uninhabitable.
With over 76,500 inspections conducted in impacted areas, approximately 260 million euros have been distributed to eligible recipients in Thessaly and neighboring regions.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced the expansion of support measures, including an increased advance payment of state aid and expedited rent subsidies, to further aid those impacted by the storm.
The relief package also includes a final review of compensation by municipalities to ensure comprehensive assistance.
