In a shocking turn of events, a case has been registered against Samajwadi Party MLA Zahid Beg and his wife Seema Beg for allegedly torturing and assaulting a minor maid in Bhadohi. The Labour Department took action following the rescue of a 17-year-old girl from the couple’s residence after the suicide of another teenager. The police conducted a raid and the girl was sent to a government children’s home in Prayagraj.
Earlier, a notice was issued to the MLA and his wife for subjecting the minor girl to child labor for two-and-a-half years. The Uttar Pradesh Labor Department required a response within a week, accusing the couple of holding the girl captive and making her work without pay.
This disturbing incident has raised serious concerns about child labor and exploitation in society. Authorities are taking necessary actions to ensure justice for the victims and prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
