Iran Successfully Launches Chamran-1 Satellite Into Space

Iran made history on Saturday with the successful launch of its domestically-developed Chamran-1 satellite into space. This latest achievement is a testament to the country’s commitment to advancing its space program and showcasing the reliability of its new series of solid-fuel carrier rockets.
Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh announced the launch during an event attended by military officers, families of martyrs, students, and professors. The Chamran-1 satellite is the fifth Iranian satellite to be launched this year, following the Soraya, Mahda, Keyhan-2, and Hatef-1 satellites in January.
Designed by Iranian technicians, the 60-kilogram research satellite features a cold gas propulsion system and advanced communication capabilities. Launched by the Qaem-100 carrier rocket, the Chamran-1’s primary mission is to test orbital maneuver technology and evaluate various subsystems in space.
Major General Hossein Salami praised the successful launch, highlighting the collaboration between the IRGC, Iranian government, and local companies. This milestone not only signifies progress in Iran’s space program but also reflects the nation’s determination to excel in emerging technologies against global competition.
Overall, the Chamran-1 satellite launch marks a significant step forward for Iran in satellite technology and the development of solid-fuel carrier rockets.
