Over the weekend, a member of Lebanese movement Hezbollah was martyred in Israeli airstrikes on the city of Kfar Remen in Nabatieh Governorate. The attacks also left 13 people wounded, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.
While it is confirmed that the Hezbollah member was from the village of Qmatiyeh, it is unclear if he was killed in the airstrikes in Kfar Remen or elsewhere. Israeli media claimed the airstrikes were in response to earlier attacks on two Israeli military sites by Hezbollah.
Hezbollah has been engaged in daily exchanges of fire with Israel since October 8, with the Lebanese movement asserting that their operations are in support of Palestinian resistance fighters in Gaza. The ongoing conflict has escalated tensions in the region.
