In a landmark case, seven men were sentenced to jail in Britain for sexually abusing two girls in Rotherham two decades ago. Initiated in 2014 following the Jay Report which revealed shocking levels of abuse, the operation uncovered that over 1,400 girls were victims of abuse, trafficking, and grooming by men, predominantly of Pakistani heritage, in Rotherham between 1997 and 2013. This case serves as a significant step towards justice for the victims and highlights the ongoing efforts to combat child abuse in the UK.
