UK: 7 men sentenced to 7-25 years for largest child abuse probe.

In a landmark case, seven men were sentenced to jail in Britain for sexually abusing two girls in Rotherham two decades ago. The offences took place in the early 2000s and the men received hefty prison terms ranging from seven to 25 years. This case came as a result of Operation Stovewood, the largest investigation into child sexual abuse in British history conducted by the National Crime Agency.

Initiated in 2014 following the Jay Report which revealed shocking levels of abuse, the operation uncovered that over 1,400 girls were victims of abuse, trafficking, and grooming by men, predominantly of Pakistani heritage, in Rotherham between 1997 and 2013. This case serves as a significant step towards justice for the victims and highlights the ongoing efforts to combat child abuse in the UK.
