Donald Trump’s anti-migrant policies and Vice President Kamala Harris’ support of abortion rights as both being “against life”.
Pope Francis raised concerns over the US presidential election, urging voters to choose the lesser of two evils between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump. He emphasized the importance of this decision, urging everyone with a conscience to think deeply before casting their vote.
During an airborne news conference, Pope Francis was asked to provide guidance to American Catholic voters as he flew back to Rome from Asia, stressing that he would not be voting himself. He did not mention the candidates by name but expressed stark criticism of their positions on key issues like abortion and migration.
Francis reiterated the Church’s stance on abortion as a grave sin and condemned Harris for supporting abortion rights, while also denouncing Trump’s immigration policies as “evil”. He emphasized the Biblical call to welcome migrants and the sanctity of life in the womb.
