During the second day of his state visit to Iraq, the Iranian president made a trip to Erbil where he had important meetings with Kurdish authorities, including President Nechervan Barzani. Additionally, he also met with Masoud Barzani, the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and former KRG president.
Before arriving in Erbil, the Iranian president had already engaged in discussions with Iraqi officials in Baghdad, where they signed 14 cooperation agreements. He also paid a visit to the Al-Kadhimiyya Mosque to pay his respects to two Shiite imams.
