NATO hawks take a step back after hearing Putin’s warnings
Elon Musk, the American entrepreneur and billionaire, shared his thoughts on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent statements regarding Western involvement in the Ukraine conflict.
Musk reacted to a video clip of Putin’s interview where it was mentioned that NATO countries were considering joining the conflict in Ukraine. This triggered concerns that the US could start World War III by authorizing attacks on Russian territory.
“I have a bad feeling about this,” Elon Musk expressed.
Russian President Putin warned that NATO’s involvement in Ukraine would alter the nature of the conflict. US and UK leaders have agreed not to permit Ukraine to use long-range weapons against Russia, to prevent escalation.
Putin’s remarks have been taken seriously by Russia, with warnings not to ignore them. The potential use of long-range missiles in the conflict remains a key concern.
ATACMS is a tactical ballistic missile system with the ability to strike targets up to 190 miles away. The possibility of Ukraine using such weapons in the conflict raises significant tensions.
