The Untapped Beauty of Monroe Hiking Trail in Pakistan
Hidden deep within the pine forests of Mansehra district lies the Monroe hiking trail, a 66km-long path waiting to be explored. Despite its lack of popularity, the trail has the potential to become a major tourist destination in Pakistan.
Embarking on this journey, we found ourselves immersed in the lush greenery and untouched beauty of the trail. From closed facilities to bumpy jeep rides, our adventure began with a mix of challenges and wonders.
Driving through dense forests, with stunning views of Siran and Kaghan valleys, we were in awe of the natural landscapes surrounding us. The trek towards Nadi Bangla led us through snow-capped terrains, testing our resilience and determination.
A Trek Beyond Boundaries
Amidst glaciers and wild boars, our trek took unexpected turns, leading us to reassess our limits. While we couldn’t complete the entire trail, our experience highlighted the need for the restoration and promotion of such hidden gems.
