A successful joint counterterrorism operation conducted by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Israel Security Agency (ISA), and Israel Border Police resulted in the elimination of four terrorists in the Tulkarm and Nur Shams areas. Three terrorists were taken out in an aerial strike, while the fourth was killed in close-quarters combat with security forces. Among the deceased was Muhammad Abu Ataya, believed to be responsible for the killing of Staff-Sergeant-Major Maksim Rizhkov.
Furthermore, security forces uncovered an underground complex near a hospital in the Tulkarm refugee camp and are currently investigating it. In another operation in Tubas, Tamun, and Far’a, a terrorist was neutralized after throwing explosive devices, and a vehicle rigged with explosives was dismantled.
The operations also led to the confiscation of a significant number of weapons, including sniper rifles and handguns. Bomb manufacturing labs and communication centers were taken down, along with the disposal of improvised explosive devices.
The IDF remains committed to combating terrorist activities in northern Samaria and the Jordan Valley, with ongoing operations to ensure the safety and security of the region.
