Iran Denies Allegations of Targeted Killing Operations by US, Zionist Regime
In a strong denial, the Islamic Republic of Iran has stated that it has no intentions or plans to carry out targeted killing or abduction operations, particularly in the West. The statement, released by the Iranian diplomatic mission, blamed the Zionist regime, the Mujahedin-e Khalq terror cult based in Albania, and certain Western intelligence services, including those of the United States, for spreading false accusations to divert attention from the atrocities committed by the Israeli regime.
This denial comes in response to the US Justice Department charging a Pakistani man for allegedly plotting to assassinate a US official as retaliation for the killing of Iran’s top anti-terror commander, General Qassem Soleimani, in 2020. Asif Raza Merchant, 46, reportedly sought a hitman to carry out the assassination in the US.
FBI Director Christopher Wray also claimed that the Pakistani national had close ties to Iran. The Iranian government continues to assert its innocence in these targeted killing allegations, condemning the accusations as fabricated propaganda.
