Hezbollah Strikes Israeli Air Base in Retaliation for Deadly Attack
Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement launched a missile attack on an Israeli air base in retaliation for a deadly strike on Lebanese territories. The barrage of Katyusha rockets hit the main missile air defense base of the Northern Command near Safed, causing fires and power outages.
Israel claimed to have intercepted most of the 20 rockets fired from Lebanon, with this being the second attack on the same base. Hezbollah retaliated for an Israeli attack in Kfar Jouz, which resulted in three deaths, including a Hezbollah fighter.
Hezbollah and Israel have been in a conflict since October, following Israel’s war on Gaza. The movement promised to continue retaliatory actions until the Gaza onslaught ends. The Israeli siege on Gaza has led to mass casualties, with over 41,000 Palestinians killed and almost 95,000 injured since the offensive began.
Hezbollah’s retaliation against Israel highlights the ongoing conflict in the region and the impact of the Gaza war on surrounding territories.
