The Federal Government has announced Monday, September 16, 2024, as a public holiday to commemorate the celebration of Eid-ul-Mawlid, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior, made the declaration on behalf of the government, urging the Muslim Ummah to pray for peace and prosperity in the nation during this period.

He emphasized the importance of embodying patience, sacrifice, and resilience, calling on all Nigerians to embrace these virtues.
