CBI to Verify ‘Truth’ from Narco Test of Accused Sanjay Roy

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has requested the Seldah Court for authorization to perform a narco-analysis test on Sanjay Roy, the suspect in the rape and murder case of a 31-year-old junior doctor in Kolkata. This test aims to validate Roy’s statement and is often considered a reliable source of interrogation compared to traditional methods. In addition to the narco test, Roy has already undergone a polygraph test where he denied involvement in the crime, but the results were inconclusive.

Furthermore, DNA tests confirmed Roy’s connection to the case, while psychological assessments labeled him a “pervert” addicted to pornography. The forensic report detailed the condition of the victim and the crucial early hours after the incident. Brain mapping tests are also being considered in the investigation.

These tests play a vital role in uncovering the truth and identifying suspects in criminal cases. Despite criticisms, they provide valuable insights into the suspects’ behavior and involvement in the crime. The CBI continues its rigorous investigation to seek justice for the victim and hold the perpetrator accountable.
