Empowering Youth Representation in Armenia: The 10th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians
The Secretary-General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Martin Chungong, lauds Armenia’s Parliament for its exceptional representation of youth during the 10th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians in Yerevan. Chungong commended Armenia’s hospitality and the organization of the conference, emphasizing the country’s young group of parliamentarians as a model of inclusivity.
Chungong highlighted the importance of youth representation in parliaments and praised Armenia’s efforts in this regard. He expressed optimism that the discussions at the conference could lead to decisions benefiting the quality of life for young people.
Member of the Armenian Parliament, Hasmik Hakobyan, underlined the significance of engaging with international partners at the conference, which included delegates from approximately 60 countries. Hakobyan also addressed the involvement of young officials in the government post-Revolution and emphasized the importance of addressing issues facing displaced youth.
Sara Falaknaz from the United Arab Emirates expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by Armenia and emphasized the importance of inclusiveness in decision-making processes.
