Buying a house in Ghaziabad has become more expensive with a sudden 15% increase in circle rates. Areas like Wave City and Aditya World City have seen rates more than double. Indirapuram, Kaushambi, and Vaishali also experienced significant rate hikes. Commercial properties and agricultural land prices have also risen, reflecting infrastructural improvements and market demand.
The Stamp and Registration Department in Ghaziabad cited infrastructural advancements like the Rapid Rail, Metro, and forthcoming expressways as reasons for the rate hike, aiming to capitalize on the city’s growth. The revised rates aim to boost revenue, with officials expecting an additional Rs 125 crore in the current fiscal year. Last year, 96% of the government’s revenue target of Rs 3,104 crore for Ghaziabad was achieved.
