CCTV catches murder victim with friends before deadly assault

A 19-year-old boy, Scot Phillips, was brutally stabbed to death in a “furious attack” outside his home on Carey Avenue in Seaton. The incident occurred after his power went out, and he went outside to investigate, where he was set upon by at least one person.

According to a friend, Scot was left screaming for help on his front doorstep, but no one came to his aid. The neighborhood has since laid flowers in tribute to the young victim.

Multiple weapons were seized, and Cooper Benny, 19, is facing firearms charges, though no one has been charged with murder yet. Police investigations are ongoing.
