Azerbaijan’s Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) is actively supporting the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) by organizing events to promote collaboration and stimulate action. Hosting COP29 in 2024 marks a significant step for Azerbaijan in the fight against climate change.
As part of COP29, the Baku Climate Action Week will feature thematic roundtables on topics such as zero-emission shipping, sustainable finance, artificial intelligence, and circular economy principles. This initiative aims to foster innovation, enhance climate resilience, and accelerate green growth in Azerbaijan and beyond.
Additionally, AZPROMO will launch the Baku Initiative for Climate Finance, Investment, and Trade Dialogue (BICFIT Dialogue) during COP29. This dialogue will focus on integrating finance, investment, and trade to combat climate change and achieve sustainable development goals.
Azerbaijan’s role in promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) and exports aligns with global trends towards sustainability and innovation. Businesses must actively participate in advancing global sustainability efforts by adopting circular economy methods, reducing carbon emissions, and innovating for a sustainable future.
