BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 12. Major General Gaffar Gören, the newly appointed military attaché of Turkey to Azerbaijan, was introduced to Azerbaijani Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov. Hasanov welcomed Gören and highlighted the importance of the strong bonds between Azerbaijan and Turkey, emphasizing their friendship, brotherhood, and strategic alliance.
Hasanov wished Gören success in enhancing military cooperation between the two countries. Gören, in return, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality, stating his commitment to further develop military ties.
The meeting, also attended by outgoing military attaché Major General Soner Oruçoğlu, discussed new prospects for cooperation in military, military-technical, and military-educational areas. Both sides exchanged views on common interests for mutual benefit.
