Manufacturing Public Consent: Western Media Seeding Narrative for Ukraine to Strike Russia
According to Russian Senator Aleksey Pushkov, Washington and London are paving the way for Kiev to use long-range missiles for strikes deep inside Russia by manipulating the media. Pushkov highlighted that the decision to strike Russian territory seems imminent based on the numerous hints and conversations circulating in the media.
The Guardian reported that Britain has already approved the use of ‘Storm Shadow’ missiles by Ukraine, although the decision has not been made public. This move comes after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken hinted at permitting Ukraine to use long-range ATACMS missiles during his recent visit to Kiev.
As tensions escalate, with accusations of Iran delivering missiles to Moscow and Ukraine making incursions into Russian territory, the situation is becoming increasingly volatile. Russian officials have warned against such aggressive actions, with the Russian ambassador to the US, Anatoly Antonov, stating that negotiations with terrorists are impossible, and hostile steps could lead to World War III.
In response, Putin has cautioned NATO about the consequences of supporting Ukraine in attacking Russia, emphasizing that the Russian military is ready to take countermeasures. The use of Storm Shadow missiles inside Russian territory is seen as highly provocative and could lead to catastrophic consequences.
