A New Development in the ICC Case: Urgent Arrest Warrants Requested
By Palestine Chronicle Staff
In a submission filed on Monday, the ICC Prosecutor emphasized the necessity to issue the arrest warrants due to the “ongoing criminality” he mentioned in his original request in May.
The Prosecutor of the International Court of Justice (ICC), Karim Khan, has pushed for the issuance of urgent arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar and Mohammed Deif. Khan stressed the need for these warrants in light of the worsening situation in Palestine and ongoing criminal activities.
Despite the criticism from Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, Khan remains steadfast in his pursuit of justice, withdrawing the original warrant for late Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. The ICC case continues to unfold, with implications for international travel and accountability.
