Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Narek Mkrtchyan, recently met with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó, in Yerevan to discuss various mutual interests. They focused on employment, sectoral strategies, services for vulnerable groups, and the importance of social justice.
The Ministers also talked about support programs for forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh, including initiatives like sending 120 displaced children to Hungary for a summer camp. Mkrtchyan emphasized the significance of such programs for the mental and emotional well-being of the children, in addition to providing them with valuable experiences and leisure activities.
The meeting highlighted the Hungarian government’s support and commitment to continue assisting the displaced population. The program is intended to be an ongoing project, benefiting approximately 1000 children from Nagorno-Karabakh.
