The government has placed 137 individuals on the Fourth Schedule under the Anti-Terrorism Act in Quetta. This list includes political activists, student leaders, writers, and government employees suspected of having links to banned groups such as the Balochistan Liberation Army and Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan.
A meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Saad Bin Asad finalized the names, which include prominent figures like Balaach Qadir Baloch and Bohir Saleh from the Baloch Students Organisation. Despite being asked to report to the Counter Terrorism Department, some individuals, including Balaach Qadir Baloch, have not complied.
This move is part of the government’s decision to put 300 individuals on the Fourth Schedule list. The notification highlights the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and ensure the safety of the citizens of Quetta.
