Germany dismissed Donald Trump’s false claims about the country’s energy network and ridiculed his baseless accusations that immigrants are eating pets in the United States.
During a televised debate with Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump criticized her stance on fracking and fossil fuels, referencing Germany’s alleged failed attempt at transitioning to renewable energy.
Confusion Over Trump’s Comments
The German government expressed surprise at Trump’s remarks and stated that their energy system is functioning well with over 50% renewable energy sources.
Mocking Trump’s Pet Accusations
Responding to Trump’s claim about immigrants eating pets, the German Foreign Ministry clarified that they do not consume cats and dogs. Trump’s unfounded allegations about Haitian immigrants in Springfield were refuted by the local police.
While the controversy stirred by Trump’s comments continues, Germany remains committed to phasing out coal and nuclear energy by 2038.
