North Korea Fires Short-Range Ballistic Missile
The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff announced that the North Korean military launched a short-range ballistic missile into the East Sea on the morning of the 12th. This is the first missile launch by North Korea since July 1st, marking approximately two months since the last launch. South Korea is closely monitoring the situation and maintaining a high level of readiness in collaboration with the U.S. and Japan.
The recent missile launch comes after North Korea released propaganda leaflets towards the South for four consecutive days from the 4th to the 8th of this month. This marks the 17th instance of leaflet distribution by North Korea this year. The continuous provocations by North Korea raise tensions in the region, prompting South Korea to stay vigilant and coordinate closely with its allies to ensure security.
