Recent reports suggested that Iran transferred short-range ballistic missiles to Russia, but Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal could not confirm this information. Despite initial claims by CNN, representatives from the Iranian Foreign Ministry denied the allegations. Nasser Kanaani, an official from the department, refuted the reports and stated that there was no concrete evidence to prove the transfer of missiles to Russia.
Shmyhal expressed doubt about the situation, stating, “So far, I have no concrete fact to prove that the Russians have received these missiles and are using them.” While Ukraine hoped for global participation in the upcoming peace summit, Russia was notably absent from the first summit held in Switzerland.
Iran possesses an array of short-range missiles, including liquid-fueled and solid-fueled variants, as well as artillery rockets. The country has shown interest in developing a range of ballistic missiles, and has engaged in space launch capabilities. Despite speculation, the exact status of the alleged missile transfer remains unclear.
