The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) in Mangaluru has launched a ‘campus gate meet’ campaign to address student issues. The campaign will be held across all districts in the state, starting with DK district in September. The goal is to bring student problems to the government’s attention.
Issues like lack of bus connectivity to rural areas and scholarship delays are being highlighted. A Google form will be used to gather student grievances, which will then be categorized and addressed at different levels.
NSUI is pushing for state intervention to solve student concerns and has specific agendas for Mangalore University and the Devaraj Urs Backward Classes Development Corporation. The corporation, led by NSUI, is focused on implementing a Rs 100 crore development plan for student welfare.
