The President of Nigeria Labour Congress Under Investigation for Terrorism Financing

A former Assistant Director of the Department of State Services, Dennis Amachree, has revealed that the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Joe Ajaero, is currently under investigation for suspected terrorism financing and related crimes. Following his arrest on Monday at the Abuja airport, Ajaero was held in custody for the day and only released late at night.

Amachree emphasized on a TV program that Ajaero is not allowed to leave the country during the ongoing investigation. He stated that Ajaero is accused of terrorism financing and is connected to an individual suspected of similar activities in London.

The former DSS director warned about the consequences if Ajaero had been allowed to travel to the UK and compared the situation to that of a wanted executive from Binance. It is clear that the law applies to everyone, including prominent figures like Joe Ajaero.
