Chairman urges urgent green energy transition in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan is taking the lead in the transition to green energy, as emphasized by Asif Askerli, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Democratic Student and Youth Organization, at the International Youth Forum “Supporting Environmental Policy through Young Leaders” in Baku. This gathering of young minds from around the world is focused on discussing environmental issues and promoting a green economy.

The forum, running until September 13, has brought together 24 young leaders from 18 countries along with over 60 Azerbaijani youth organization leaders, government representatives, experts, and other guests. Together, they are working towards addressing climate change and promoting eco-volunteering and collaboration to support the green economy.

This event, supported by the Youth Foundation of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Democratic Student and Youth Organization, and the National Council of Youth Organizations, aims to continue active efforts in these crucial areas. Stay tuned for panel discussions with influential figures from various countries, including France, Finland, Denmark, and more, as they share insights on environmental engagement and global cooperation.
