Brett Button braced for more harrowing tales
Several scarred survivors of a tragic bus crash are preparing to face the man responsible for their loss.

Brett Button, 59, awaits sentencing for dangerous driving after causing a fatal crash that took the lives of 10 people and injured 25 more. He admitted to taking a large amount of painkillers before the incident.

One survivor, Graham McBride, shared his harrowing experience of waking up in the hospital with severe injuries, only to discover that his wife and daughter did not make it. He discharged himself to be in their memory.

Melbourne man Nick Dinakis also expressed his pain and loss, accusing Button of shattering his life by causing the death of his partner, Darcy Bulman.

Button’s reckless driving on a foggy road led to the tragic crash, cutting short the celebrations of a newlywed couple and their guests from across the east coast.

Button’s actions resulted in charges of dangerous driving causing death and bodily harm, with manslaughter charges being dropped after his guilty plea.
