A recent report by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) shed light on the initial plans of the prime accused in the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case to target the state BJP headquarters. In response, security has been beefed up in and around the BJP office in Malleswaram, with increased checks, metal detectors, and visitor registration requirements.
BJP leaders are contemplating additional security measures such as baggage scanners to ensure the safety of the premises. Meanwhile, politicians like R Ashoka and Bhaskar Rao have called for the formation of a special task force to combat terrorism and address the issue of illegal immigrants in Karnataka.
Ashoka accused the Congress of facilitating illegal immigration and urged for stricter action against such activities. Bhaskar Rao criticized the government for neglecting the modernization and training of the police force, leading to an increase in crime rates. The demand for Home Minister G Parameshwara’s resignation for lax security measures is also gaining traction.
In the face of these developments, it is clear that stringent measures need to be taken to safeguard public safety and combat terrorist threats effectively.
