Arab Committee Denounces Israeli Violations in Jerusalem.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi chaired the 8th session of the Arab Ministerial Committee focused on addressing illegal Israeli actions in occupied Jerusalem. The meeting, held in Cairo, discussed Israeli violations in Jerusalem and the escalating tensions in the region.

Safadi emphasized the need to end Israeli aggression in Gaza and the West Bank. The committee denounced Israel’s continuous violations of holy sites in Jerusalem and categorically rejected attempts to alter the city’s Arab Islamic and Christian identity.

The ministers called for diplomatic efforts to document Israeli violations, mobilize opposition to Israeli actions at Al-Aqsa Mosque, and support Jordan’s custodianship over the city’s holy sites. They also urged the UN Security Council to uphold resolutions regarding East Jerusalem and prevent further escalation.

The session concluded with a commitment to coordinate international efforts to protect Jerusalem’s status and uphold Palestinian rights amidst ongoing Israeli provocations.
